Sapele Mahogany Door Characteristics:
The heartwood of Sapele Mahogany is red-brown or purple-brown color. The sapwood is gray-pink or cream in color. This African hardwood is highly sought after for its similarity to other types of Mahogany for guitar making, furniture making and now for flooring, decking and paneling applications. Sapele's colors are a little more reddish than African Mahogany, with dark tones and purple-brown hues.
